I left a couple of messages for Meredith to schedule a diver for my bday in September back in April and no one ever called. I figured it was too early to set something up. Well I called again this week and I still haven't heard anything. Anyone else not get a call back for September? I already have an ADR scheduled. I called 407-560-6636. Any other numbers or email address that I could use to contact someone at the Reef? I've never been to Coral Reef and just wanted to make my first time a little more special. TIA!!

Try again! I called the number above on Monday and got someone on the first try. Nicholas was VERY nice and our diver is booked for September! :cheer2:

Thanks. What time do you think would be the best time to call? I don't want to call when they are busy. I was thinking early afternoon if I can get away with it at work. It's just DH and I so I don't think it would be too much of a hassle.

I called yesterday morning about 10:00 a.m. and by lunch time I had a call back. I was able to schedule the diver for this Sunday

I called around 3pm their time.

I had intended to call for this on our last visit but didn't get around to calling. I just walked into the restaurant a day or two prior to our reservation and asked the hostess to set it up for us. She did and it was a wonderful surprise for my son's 5th Birthday.

Thanks everyone. I think I'll trying calling Saturday morning and hopefully get a call back. If all else fails, I'll try setting something up when I arrive (I get there on the 28th).

I called this Monday as a surprise for my neighbor who will be there in October. I received a call back from Louis within two hours. He set everything up for me no problem. You'll have to call 407-560-6636 until Debbi gets back. Good luck!

what is this exactly? cost, etc?

Hi - yes I'd like to know the cost and also whether you are able to request that they just say 'happy vacation' to your family - as we haven't any special occasions while we are there, but it is the first time we've been to wdw with children and i thought my DS4 would really enjoy seeing a diver bring us a special message??:thumbsup2

I woud like to know this too, I would like to do this for my DS and her family!!

There is no cost. I'm sure that they can have a sign say anything. I've read (DISboards of course) that they do happy anniversary too so I'm assuming that they can do a special message for anyone. I'm just having a hard time getting it set up. Hope everyone who calls gets what they want.

It's free, but I think they are only allowed 2 messages per dive session. I know they go in the tank twice, with a break between 3 and 5. So 4 messages per day? Can anyone confirm this?

Do you make a request when booking the ADR?

Can the message be personalized, like "happy B-day Bob" or is it generica without the name, etc?

Can you see the message from anywhere in the restaurant, or do you have to try to get a table close to the "tank"

My understanding is that you have to contact the Coral Reef directly to see if they have a "space" available for the day you are requesting, and if they do, you tell them what to put on the card the diver will hold up. I was told that when you check in, they already know you have requested a diver and seat you accordingly. Ask them about getting a menu personalized too.

So if we have dinner there at 4:10 would that mean that we could not have a diver? Is their break between 3 and 5 every day? Also, is it too early to book for Dec?

It's never to early to book, but you may have a problem getting a diver. The personalized menu, however, is always available irregardless of the time or how many dives are set for the day.
