Coral Reef Diver Questions...

We got our ressie for 2 pm. Is that too early to try to get a diver? Also, what have you put on the signs? We have 4 great kids who would get a kick out of seeing a diver with a sign for them, but it wouldn't be a birthday. Also, how do I go about arranging this? Thanks so much!

I have a lunch reservation in August and Deb said it was no problem getting the diver. As for the menu, I deferred to her for the wording. I just want to surprise DS but we aren't really celebrating anything. At her suggestion, I sent her some pictures and song lyrics for her to add to the menu.

I can't believe I have actually kept this a secret since February. Only 84 more days to keep my mouth shut!

I'm not sure what the times are that the divers do the signs but there is no harm in asking. I believe the number I called to request a diver was 1-407-560-6856 but perhaps someone could confirm that please.

I loved the diver idea & thought it would be a blast to surprise my sons!! We are not celebrating birthdays either so I just requested that the diver have a sign that says

"Hi Shea & Kier from Ottawa!"

My guys will be super surprised because they know absolutely nothing about this!!

I too have a lunch reservation for 2pm. I was able to contact Deb a few weeks ago, I was hoping to arrange for a custom menu. She got back to me no problem AND she managed to arrange a diver too! I didn't think they had divers that late, I know they only dive at certain times, but 2pm seems to fall into the time frame.

I need a huge favor though. She gave me her e-mail address to send the pictures to. But, I can't find the scrap of paper I wrote it down on. Any chance you could p.m. me that addy? I guess I could call her back and get it, but I'm sure she is swamped making magic for others and I hate to bother her (plus, I'm a little embarrassed to admit I' that careless)

I called the Coral Reef yesterday to arrange for a diver. The girl took all of my info (she did say she was new) and gave me an email for pictures. I did not speak with Debbie. Should I be concerned?

No, I wouldn't be concerned. I'm sure Debbie is not the only one who takes the info or books the divers or makes the menus!! I'm sure if it's a problem with your times, etc, someone will call you back. If you are still concerned, wait a few days & just call to confirm your info.

I have called twice (5/12 & 5/28) & still have not received a reply. The number I got was from the original Coral Reef Diver thread & it goes directly to Debbie's voicemail. Anyone know why I'm not getting a response?

Not sure about your first message - did you give her an alternate contact number? Did you tell her your ADR confirmation number so she could look it up?

If so, I'd give her a few more days. When I left a message, it took her about a week to get back to me. She had confirmed my ADR and that there was a diver opening for that time. We discussed what the sign should say and the particulars of the menu, the check in process, etc. Easy peezy, lemon squeezy.

I arranged for a diver our last trip in Feb for my dh. We were celebrating our 33 wedding anniversary. He loved it. He is still talking about it. Go for it and have fun. You will like Deb she is great to work with. She does whatever she can to help you.

Ooooh... something new to me........... never knew about this. But then since this is my first trip, I knew nothing at all until a couple of months ago!

Do they only do this at lunch? I have dinner eservations and would loove to ask for this if possible.

I don't think it matters if its lunch or dinner. All you have to do is contact Debbie Sacluex and she can fix you up. It might take a few days for her to contact you back but she is helping us with my sons b-day.

I will be making lunch ADR's for Coral Reef on Monday for our December vacation and we will be celebrating our 7 year wedding anniversary and think my DH would really get a kick out of this. What do the personalized menus look like?
