I have a gateway pc with windows 98 and a hp deskjet 722C printer. I want to start posting pictures of my pins or other colletibles on either this site or on a web auction. I do not have a digital camera. This week I want to purchase a flatbed scanner or an all-in-one so I can start copying my collectibles. Does anyone have any advice for a non-tech user. I have been looking at the HP models, and have also looked at the HP PSC750 All-In-One printer,Flatbed Scanner and Copier. I was also looking at the HP Photosmart 1315 but I don't yet have a camera.

My dh had an HP all-in-one and I loved it! It was great to be able to make copies at home.

You have several options for getting pictures to the web.

1) You can take a digital picture and upload it.
2) Take a traditional photograph and scan it.
3) Scan the item directly on a flatbed scanner.

I've done all three. It's really just a matter of preference. I have a conon which I'm not too fond of. DH has an HP which is great. You might post on the Community Board and see if anyone there has a particular brand they like.

If you have any more specific questions, just let us know. :)

Went ot Office Max yesterday and purchased a HP Scanjet 4400c flatbed scanner. They had an instant rebate of $30 and a mail in rebate to get a $25 gift card. Scanner cost $119.99 plus tax.
