Following a PC failure a few weeks and reformatted hard drive, I lost all my music files. 
Good news is that this weekend managed to copy all my files from the iPOD back to the PS hard drive without having to purchase software, in about 10-15 mins 
Only thing I lost was playlists and some pointless data such as most played tracks etc
