DVCMC can’t offer an owner a room if it’s not open and it sounded like SSR was all that was still open for DVC.

Sounds like the resort upgraded them for the nights they were in the studio. I have read some were also offer $100 GC.

How does DVC overbook? I don't recall reading about this happening much before, so that is good and I guess it could be IT error, right? I know that airlines do this on purpose, but surely DVC wouldn't?

We believe it was an IT error as it happened for some rooms at VGC in April. The system showed and allowed bookings that weren’t there.

They caught it quickly…and ended up having to cancel and move people. In this case, it sounds like the same may have happened with some 1 bedrooms at CCV.

Right now, the system is having issues again, but at least it is not allowing the booking of rooms that are showing in the calendar. When people call they find out it isn’t available. Frustrating but at least it’s preventing it.

I wish theyd pour some of those billions in profits into staffing an even entry level competent IT department.
