Copper Creek blockout for renovations?

I have been walking a reservation at copper creek, and noticed that June 22nd & 23rd 2025 are now unavailable for studios with a walk-in shower. As those are ahead of the 11mo window, I am assuming that DVD is taking the rooms offline?

Interesting I have not checked to see this, maybe a glitch? I thought they were focusing on BLT first but I could be wrong.

It would be hard to tell until midnight EST time to see what might be happening (when you can see availability but no one can book yet). We are not allowed to share specific details on availability on the boards but there appears to be a lot of inventory taken out across all room categories (except the cabins). All I can say is that a lot of the rooms (raw number of actual rooms) aren't available for booking 11+7 days out, which would seem odd given June isn't particularly busy.

I note that June 22, 2025, is a Sunday. It is possible you may have run into a time that has more guaranteed weeks sold to members than the week before, which can result in not being able to do a successful walk.

I thought that too but the available # of rooms within all categories is strangely low (minus cabins).

Another additional possibility is that CCV is supposed to start a refurbishment in 2025 and that June time may include a few more total rooms being designated out of service than times before or even the time when the refurb is to begin.

How are you tracking the available # of rooms? Looking at the calendar data, it seems like none for 22 & 23rd, xxx for the next 2 days and then it jumps back up again to a lot and the 26th is technically bookable. It seems like they must be taking the rooms off-line for some reason. It's impressive that they plan that far out for construction which has legendarily inaccurate timelines.

Just checked the DVC website (4:20 eastern) and everything is now available at CCV for all of June 2025 through the night of June 26 (the last date being reported when today is July 20).Thus, you should probably go on line now and continue your walk.

I’ve noticed this a lot recently with CCV, random days at 11 months + 1 or 2 are not available but they usually show back up. Quite odd.

Riviera Grand Villa is similarly blocked, as are Saratoga Springs Treehouses and Grand Villas.

EDIT TO ADD: this is over a period from approx Nov to Feb 15th. And it's almost all Grand Villa accommodation-level rooms that are showing as unavailable over that period.

YES!! It’s been like this since Monday 7/15. I even called MS to talk to them about it. Supposedly all grand villas are just booked!! The agent agreed it was odd, put me on hold for like 25 minutes to contact the tech team and just came back with “all are booked”. I was able to book what I needed 2/16-2/22 but I really want 2/14 & 2/15 as well. I keep checking daily and nothing! And I know they all went offline 7/15 after 7:30 am because I had checked when I woke up and most were available (just not the one I wanted lol).

There's just no way the cabins and grand villas are legit booked. The cabins at Copper Creek can often be booked just a few days in advance... it's too many points for all to be reserved like that. Something weird with this inventory.

Absolutely!! But DVC sees no issue…(no bungalows either, like so crazy!)
