Copenhagen flight time after debarkation

Hey, question for the knowledge base.
We are on the Aug 10th Northern Europe from Copenhagen, and DCL states on their website that the earliest flight after debarkation should be 12:30pm.
We have an 11:50am, but we are just flying to Brussels (internal in Europe), and the trip to CPH from port should take no longer than 40 minutes.
In theory we would need to leave port at ~10am to be at the airport within 1 hour.

Are we cutting it to close? Is leaving port by 10am (on DCL transportation) doable?

TIA

Even if they stagger the debarkation like they usually do in CPH, you’ll be off the ship way before 10AM. They want you off the ship ASAP and usually want the all clear to be done before 9:30. Once you get your bags and clear immigration, you’ll get on the bus immediately, or at least as soon as the line before you is cleared.

The traffic to get out of the port can be pretty bad in CPH. You should really plan on getting off the ship as soon as you are done with breakfast. There isn’t anything to do on the ship anyway, except sitting around with your day bag.

This is very true. No "big" roads from the port towards town / airport. If I recall correctly, closest to the ship, it was 1 lane each way and quite congested. Leave early and do your waiting at the airport.

I would do Express Walk Off where you take your bags with you. You can usually leave the ship as soon as it's cleared.
Thanks to all.
Had not though about express walk-off, although if we have DCL transportation wouldn't we have to wait for the bus to fill up?
Again, many thanks to the three

Yes, but there are multiple busses. A lot (a majority?) of guests use it to get back to the airport. They fill quite fast.

It appears DCL bus would be the most convenient option to the airport from the cruise terminal (besides taxi, I guess). Has anyone tried taking the Metro (looks like it requires a change in downtown according to Google Map)?

I see this is an old thread, but living in the Copenhagen area, I just wanted to add a few words to the thread.
The nearest metro stop from cruise terminal 3 (most distant) is a 3 km / 2 miles walk through a very boring area. The change at Kongens Nytorv station from metro M4 to M2 for the airport is quite simple compared to other European metros.
From Orientkaj station to Copenhagen Airport station including the

At CPH airport, check-in is recommended no later than 2 hours before for a European flight or 3 hours before when flying out of Europe. If you have express lane access for security, you could save some time. But that won't get you faster through the passport check in case you're leaving Schengen Area.

This summer it took me 2 hours to get a Taxi from the cruise terminal in Copenhagen. If I was disembarking on Copenhagen again, I would either book a private car service ahead of time, or book transportation through DCL. Because if your hoping to just get on a bus (they have them, the wait was over an hour this summer) or a taxi, unless you get off the ship first thing as a walk off, prepare for a long wait. The walk offs even had about a 30 minute wait. And the terminal is bare bones so not a nice place to spend 2 hours in line.

I know it may not be possible, but if you can spare a few days, Copenhagen is a great city and well worth spending even just disembarkation day and flying out the next day.

Security in Copenhagen airport can take a while, so plan accordingly.

Was going to ask the same thing. Looking at the 8/1 Northern European cruise from Copenhagen. The only non stop flight back to IAD leaves at noon. Thinking if we do express walk off, DIS transportation and business class that we should be ok. Any other experience with this?

Thanks. I always appreciate locals' insight!
