Just wondering how you coordinate your character meal times with how you tour the parks? If we go I really want to get ressies for Donald's Breakfastosaurus, Chef Mickeys, 1900 Park Faire, Princess Storybook Dining and would love the CRT but since we are under 90 days I won't hold my breath for that one...

Do you go to the park in the early morning, do a little touring and then have ressies for a late breakfast? Do breakfast first and then start your day?

Would you suggest doing the Donald & Princess ones on the days that Epcot & AK open early since we plan on being at those parks on the early times?

To get to Chef Mickeys & 1900 Park Faire from another resort how much time should be allow? (We are thinking of staying at AKL or POFQ)

Any tips would be great and appreciated!!

We actually plan our day around our PS. For example we had a 945 CRT so we went to MK early and did alot of attractions then went to our PS.

I would plan 30-45 min from POFQ to MK for Chef Mickey and 1900 park fare. That includes wait time for a bus and walking to Chef Mickeys. During the Xmas Holidays we allowed 45min and cut it real close.

We like to go to early entry, and get the latest breakfast possible. We then leave, and go to another park.

We have also eaten early as possible in the park, and then we are finished by the opening.

Don't give up on CRT-- You might get luck and get a cancellation. Try 48 hours out. That's when you have to cancel, not to lose your deposit.

I don't know when you are going but three weeks ago when I was down at DIS my friend and I had a CM in our hotel make us a ressie for Donald's Breakfastasaurus on a Thursday. I think it was an early entry day but I could be wrong. We had no problem getting a PS (yay for the off season!) and we opted for the last option, at 10a. For us, getting up for a 8a ressie was just too much. It all depends on what your plans are for the day. We knew it wouldn't take us too long to do AK so we opted for the late ressie. I think we were out of there by 11a.

Have fun!

We plan our park days in advance and then make our PS's according to what day we will be where (if that makes any sense! LOL)

We are eating at many of the same spots you are interested in, here's what I did.

We have Donald's Breakfast for 8am, AK opens at 9 and we'll start our day right in Dinoland. We have Princess Storybook for 8:40 am and we will stay in Epcot for the morning. Our kids really enjoy the Viking ship in Norway so by the time we eat, play on the ship for an hour or so and use the restroom it will be darn near 11am, I bet!

We have an 8:30 breakfast at 1900 Park Fare and then we are going to head over to Blizzard Beach, we have Chef Mickey's at 6:30pm for dinner on our last night (boohoo!). We will drive that night to Tampa to visit relatives.

We're staying at the Polynesian so hopping on the monorail is our plan to get to our PS's, but we also have a rental car as well.

Hope that helps, have a great time!!!

Thanks for your posts so far..

I have also heard of an ice cream social you can do with the characters. What is that called again???

The Ice Cream Social was at the Garden Grill at The Land....which is currently closed for Soarin' construction.

We just got back and the best "Character Meal" we had was at Liberty Tree Tavern for Dinner. We got a 7:30pm PS so we were able to get there early and watch Spectro before dinner. Between courses, I took the kids right outside for Wishes. At the end of dinner, the park was closed and we were escorted to the Hub (and was able to get a great picture of the castle at night with no one around!!!).

We had a great time and GREAT food! I would recommend it to anyone!
