Coonskin Cap on display?

Please tell me that I was not just imagining this.
I remember when I was a kid, late seventies, in the Magic Kingdom, I believe it was in the Hall of Presidents in Liberty Square, They had in a glass display case "Davey Crocket's" Coonskin cap. Does anyone else remember this? ANyone know if it is still there or what happened to it?

I didn't visit WDW until 1982. If there was a cap on display, I'm going to guess that it was one of the caps worn by Fess Parker during the time he portrayed Davy Crockett.
