CoolMax or other wicking clothing worth $$?

I didn't know there were so many different brands/types of this out there! DH absolutely loves his UnderArmour shirts, and he wears them all the time, but it is sooo expensive. He wants a golf/polo shirt style to wear at WDW, and it's around $65 for ONE UA shirt. Thanks for all the info on the different brands available - now I can get him a few shirts for our trip!! :yay:

I am pretty sure they have something like this at Kohl's for men (the polo type shirts). Also pants/shorts.

I just wanted to add that I was looking online for C9 at Target and online they do have a few things for girls now. Hopefully it will hit the stores pretty soon, but I might consider ordering a few tank tops for dd for our trip in June.

I guess I will say that I stand corrected (by myself :lmao: )

Awesome!! Thanks for the heads up on that!!

So the ones from Walmart are just as good? I was considering picking up a few tshirts for DH and DSS but both have plenty of tshirts for this summer. I want to make sure they are really worth spending the money on before I unnecessarily add to their shirt collections.

I am wearing a Walmart wicking t-shirt for a 4th day in a row (not the same shirt on all days). They have been washed without any issues (cold water hung to dry). I was sweating up a storm on Saturday I was outdoors photographing or in abandoned buildings all day. On Friday I wore one when I was at the Great Falls in Paterson, NJ standing in the mist of the fall to get rainbow photos. Allthought the shirt got wet from the mist, I never felt cold or wet, and the shirt dried in record time.

The secret to wicking shirts (and "longjohns") is not to use fabric softerner. Fabric softerner does something to synthetic materials and effects there wicking and thermal properties.

Thanks for the tip. Does that include dryer sheets as well?

I don't use any kind of fabric softner on my "outdoor gear". I believe all fabric softner can affect the properties of the material, I may be wrong, but I'd rather not take a chance.

I have seen wicking t-shirts in the ladies plus size section of Walmart too.

My sister always wears them working out in the yard.

I'm going to look for the bras. I try to get one that won't hold moisture, but it si really uncomfortable wearing a soaked one all day.

Are they at least cute or just regular looking crew neck T's?
