Cooling Towels

I've heard a lot about cooling towels lately and don't really know much about them. Can you give me the details?

• How do they work? Is it just like a wet washcloth?
• How do you use them that makes a difference for you?
• Are they comfortable?
• Are they needed or helpful in October?
• What kind would you recommend (or not)?

Any personal experience with using them would be appreciated.

I bought one for golfing this summer. I'm not impressed. It will dry out and you will have to keep finding water to pour on it. The material is cool...and comfortable. I dont think you will need it in October.
