We are thinking of adding on a couple of days onto our Disney vacation to try Universal. We are looking for a hotel near Universal with a great pool, free parking, free shuttle to Universal Parks. I am completely unfamiliar with the scene in the Universal area, so any and all reccomendations will be greatly appreciated!!!!!

Free breakfast wouldn't hurt either!!!!)

The closest off site hotels are on Kirkman Road...across from Universal and within comfortable walking distance and I believe all have shuttle services. The DoubleTree is the largest and is located directly across Kirkman Road from Universal. I would check Travelocity or one of the travel sites and see what the rates are.

Have you thought about staying onsite? The three resorts are very nice and you would have the luxury of pool hopping and spending a more relaxing vacation without having to worry about buses or walking a great distance. Also...you will be spoiled with the unlimited Express access granted to onsite hotel guests.

Just something to think about.

I have stay at Fairfield Inn on Canada Avenue last year and it was clean and had free breakfast. Unsure of the transportation to US because I had a car. It was a quick drive from the hotel to US. The pool was clean. There was plenty of restaurants in walking distance. They have a Orlando Magic Card rate of 80.00 dollars a night.
