It's supposed to hit 111 (that's about 44 Celsius for you metric people) here in the Dallas/Fort Worth area tomorrow and you're posting that? Seriously, I'd kill to be at a glacier right now.

No, but I'll put a few more on this thread. We were staying with my sister in Rossland, so borrowed her car for 3 days and travelled to Fort Steele then to Radium where we spent the night, then on to Banff then to The Columbia Icefields, then back to Lake Louise and on to Golden, Revelstoke and back to Rossland.

Thanks henryk67! Those are beautiful! We are staying in Canmore and venturing out on different days to many of the same places. I plan to do a couple day hikes if the weather allows.

Every time I see the town of Banff with those mountains around it I get so excited! In a month I will be there!

You will love the trip, I'm sure the weather will be better than we had and you will be spoilt for choice for hiking, we done a bit in the Rossland area.
