Hi Florence.

I'll see if I can make it simple, LOL.
In the States, with our Major League Baseball (MLB), at the end of the season, the championship is determined by be the winner of the World Series, a best 4 out of 7 game winner. There are also two post season series, divisional and league, that lead up to the World Series, one being a best 3 out of 5, the next, another 4 out of 7. The Chicago Cubs, a perennial non-participant in post season playoffs, has been on a winning way this year. The first set of playoff games started last night, of which the Cubs are playing in. And they won. This series is the one which is a best 3 out of 5. And the Cubs had not won a post season game, on the road (playing away from Chicago) since 1945.

Most Chicagoans are thrilled, as are many around the country, as the Cubs are kind of the 'country's team', so often the underdogs.
Did that help, LOL?? Hope so. Now, Florence, stand up and cheer, for the Cubbies!!!!!!
Dan
