Cool DVC extra for Magic Band

Ok..... So say I pass ROFR and plan on booking a split DVC/cash resort stay for November. Also plan on buying an online voucher for APs. How many bands will I get? Didn't realize APs were in MB form now, thought it was just an RFID card....? Will I get three sets of bands with various sliders? Lol

I am Canadian so my MBs are not being shipped, I have to pick them up at the resort at check on. Anyone know if we will still get the sliders?

Yes. Just ask when you check in if they aren't in the box. SSR asked us to show our member ID to get them.

I know this will sound like sacrilege, but can you take the sliders off? I don't think my 16 year old son will want this.

They're actually in a separate little bag. You need to put them on the bands yourself.

Hi, Does anyone know if the DVC sliders are still available? When they sent us our MB last year, we received AP sliders, but not DVC. I didn't know these existed at the time, so I never asked for one. Are they only sending these out with new MB shipments? We are not staying on property this year and won't be getting new MB's. Can I just call Member Services and ask for one? I've seen some on ebay, but really don't want to have to go that route...

Your AP Sliders were shipped with your Passholder MagicBands. The DVC Sliders are sent out with MagicBands for a DVC Reservation, you can't call and request them. The DVC Resorts might have some at the front desk.

We received two sets of MB's: one with the annual pass sliders and then another for our DVC ressie, but I do not recall seeing any sliders in the box. I'm not even sure we still have the box .... I will try and dig it up at home and see if they got shoved on the bottom.....

Depending when your last DVC stay was, they may not have been sending them out yet. The DVC Sliders started getting sent out last year for check-ins after 5/11/2014. Or it's also possible that the MagicBand processing facility was either out of DVC Sliders or just missed your package.

We did a cash stay at POR over Christmas and asked their DVC guy where we could get DVC sliders and he said any DVC front desk. So we picked them up at BWV during an evening visit.

They just started doing this about a month ago. I'm sure they wont run out since MBs are here to stay.

Actually, we recieved ours when our magic bands were shipped for our vacation last June. (2014)

They started sending them out last year for arrivals after 5/11/2014.

I think they are cute, but it was very uncomfortable when I tried to wear it. I ended up going for comfort instead of fashion.
