Saw this toy at Target and since there are no little girls in the family 
...uh...I bought it for the "big" girl. 
For anyone looking for a creative building kit, this is a really cool toy. Love the "mermaid" set, and it can also be transformed into jewlery. It's made by Mattel and called "Ello".

The pieces are all over our kitchen table along with some intriguing creations. The kit appears to be a big hit with teenagers (and adults) of both genders.
