I'm not sure the xmastime cookies are out yet (or if Woody's RoundUp is open again yet), but if anyone got Halloweentime decorate-your-own cookies this year over there, did you keep the box?

If you kept the box, are there ingredients on the back?

If there are ingredients, can you take a photo and post it here for me?

Last year DS did the cookie decorating in early December, and it turned out the frosting and decoration candies were chockful of stuff he can't have, and it got pretty nasty after that (he has a rage reaction to things related to corn syrup).

Last year the cookies were fine for him, but the other stuff wasn't, so I'd love to know if they kept the OK recipe for the cookies. If so, I'll bring our own, safe, frosting and sprinkly things. :)

So if anyone got the Halloweentime decorate-your-own cookies and kept the packaging and if there is a list of ingredients, I'd appreciate your help!

Thank you!!!!!

Are these cookies baked at Disneyland? I was wondering, because if they are, I do not see why a DGR Rep. or CM, could not supply that information, by phone, mail or email. Matter of fact, I believe that one can call Marcelines Confectionery, and if those cookies are sold there, they could tell you (Just a thought)

Oh Molly - I just threw Zoe's box out last Thursday!!!!! I was planning on keeping it for the cool design, but when I was cleaning out the car for our road trip last weekend I saw that it had gotten smushed and tossed it!

We may go to the park this weekend. If we do, I'll get you the ingredient list.

It wasn't opened Sunday. But we are planning on going again this Sunday. I will stop by and check it out for you.

I don't ever remember nutritional facts being on the boxes or I would've looked at it. I'm always fascinated by nutritional facts. The boxes just have the pretty design on it. Sorry.

This may be a little off topic, but what happens at the round-up? Is it something more concentrated towards the little DIS'ers? :)

It is in a way, but I'd say that I'd rather spend my time at Reindeer Round-Up than Princess Fantasy Fair (just to give you an idea). If you went to Woody's Halloween Round-Up, it's pretty similar w/ coloring, cookie decorating, and entertainment. The difference is, is that some characters will hang around in their festive clothes and that there's reindeer next door. There's also Santa & Mrs. Claus there too. And the major difference is that it's decorated for Christmas and not Halloween. :santa:

just thought i'd share a funny story about our experience at woody's roundup in september...

we walked in, and woody and jessie were singing with a small group of kids in the front. it wasn't crowded at all, so we walked forward with our kids, to see if the little ones wanted to join in at all. they didn't, and were content to stand just a few feet back and observe. when i looked down at my 3 year old son to ask again if maybe he'd like to get a little closer to the characters, i noticed this GIGANTIC preying mantis on his shirt!

i lived in southern california for the first 30 years of my life, and never once saw a preying mantis until 5 years ago, when we moved out of state to arizona. i had no idea there were preying mantis's in socal.

you can probably imagine what kind of creativity it took for us to get that huge bug off of his shirt without him noticing, lol. it was high up, near the pocket on his shirt, and if he would have seen it, i'm sure he would have completely freaked out. it was probably 5 inches long.

:rotfl:

The info was on the bottom of the box last xmas; I found it a few days later when I snuck the last 3/4 of the cookie after confiscating it as his reaction started. Felt like such an idiot for not checking beforehand!

But I don't know if it's normal for them to have the ingredients, or if it was a one-time thing last December.

YMPonchos...what timing! :upsidedow

Good idea to call, thank you!

Hey Molly - I just realized you now have pumpkin muffin food-porn for your avatar!!!!:lmao: Bad girl!!!!!!:worship:

I think the ingredients were on the bottom of the Halloween box - where they check off if it's a bat or a pumpkin. Should be in the same spot for the Xmas cookies.

I'll definitely find out.

Molly - just got home from the park - will post the ingredients in the morning.

You have your choice of sugar Christmas Tree, Snowman, and Gingerbread Man this year. We got the snowman.

I'm bumping this up, so I can find it easier.

Sorry in advance for the poor quality of my pics. A digital just doesn't do justice sometimes. I tried my best.

Here is a pic of the tree sugar cookie ingredients from last year:

This is the bat cake cookie ingredients from this year just in case if one of the cookies is a cake one:

If it's too small & blury, just send a pm & I'll type the ingredients list for ya.

Thank you SO much! It's small, but I can recognize "corn syrup" from afar.

Therefore I know I'll be MacGyver'ing in the hotel room to make a quick icing/frosting that we can take in along with our "sunspire" pseudo M&Ms, so Eamon can decorate without turning into a dragon.

Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!

...off to figure out how to carry powdered sugar on the plane, only wanting to take carry-on b/c we're coming in late and we don't want to take time at baggage claim, without getting hauled aside for suspicion of drug trafficking...

TheAXIOM, first off, at the roundup you can meet Santa! You can tell him what you want for Christmas and have your photo taken too. He is a wonderful Santa, just like you would expect, all pleasantly plump, cheery and with rosy cheeks. Then they have a stage set up where they have different shows. While we were there we watched a magic show, Farley the fiddle player & Miss Chris. They sing Christmas songs, play games and pick children from the audience to participate. You can also see Mrs. Claus, Chip and Dale and Reindeer Pluto and get autographs and take pictures. There are seats directly in front of the stage to watch the shows and picnic tables set up behind that for the cookie decorating and coloring. I think the cookie kits were $6 and the coloring pages were free. There were also some reindeer paper doll chains. We spent the whole morning there because DD was having so much fun. I did ejoy it too. There are lots of adults in the audience.

Mugglemama, we have seen those HUGE praying mantis! We have lots here in Texas where everything is supposed to be bigger but they beat us on those critters! Here's the mug shot of one I saw. Crazy huh, taking pictures of bugs while at Disneyland!

That would be a bad way to start your trip! Any possibility of buying groceries while you are there? Maybe someone else traveling at the same time who is placing a grocery order could add some to their order for you? Also, we ordered pizza from Marri's Pizza and they said they also delivered groceries.

Bumbershoot, call PPH and ask to speak to the manager of one of the restaurants there. Tell them your story. Ask them if you can get powdered sugar there instead of being added to the watch list. It is a food allergy!

I see they all beat me to posting the ingredients! I'm just glad that you got the info you needed.

I also would contact the DL chef to see what options they had for you. I'm almost willing to be with all the speciality cakes they make each day, that they have real icing and not the corn syrup stuff, somewhere on property that they could get you. Food allergies are what they are and they try to accomodate!

Marie and CG, good ideas! :)

I second that. During a previous visit to WDW, DS still was on casein/whey free diet. I found the chefs at each restaurant went out of their way to make him soy items (or cook with soy) so that he could eat what everyone else ate. It was magical. They definitely wanted to make a 3 year old with food allergies feel like he was "normal" and could have whatever he wanted! I'm sure they'll be able to accomodate you here as well.
