My DD's teacher is having a Cookie Day this week. Each child has to bring in a batch of cookies that they made at home with their family along with the recipe for that cookie. All the students will then vote on which cookie recipe they liked the best.

I am looking for a cookie recipe that they kids will just LOVE. Do you have any to share? Thanks for your help!

I have made these cookies for my son's classes several times, and they are always a hit.

You will need two tubes of peanut butter cookie dough (use the pre-bought stuff, it's so much easier).. red M&M's, small twist pretzels, and raisins. Slice the dough into 1/4 inch slices. Shape into an oblong shape. Press two pretzels into the dough at the top of the shape (double loop side out, to look like antlers), press in two raisins for eyes, and one red M&M on the bottom for a nose. Bake according to cookie directions. Voila! You have Reindeer cookies!

Why don't you check out the www.allearsnet.com website. Click on dining, scroll down and find recipe section. They have recipes for oodles and oodles of Walt Disney World foods including cookies. It would be very unique to have a "Walt Disney World" cookie to take to school. Hope this helps, Lisa

The peanut butter cookies sound awesome but I probably wouldn't send anything paenuty to school because other kids might have allergies. Great cookies can be simple- like butter cookies, chocolate chips, thumbprints etc. Foodtv.com is a great website. Check it out! Let us know what you make! princess:

I haven't found a kid yet who doesn't like a good old frosted sugar cookie with sprinkles, of course. I usually make a huge batch every Christmas and I've collected lots of cookie cutter shapes. You can use any basic sugar cookie recipe. My best trick is in the rolling. Roll the dough about 1/4 inch thick, then fold it over and roll again. Do this several times and you'll have little layers in the cookies that make them flakey. Make sure the cookies are fairly thick. This keeps them from burning and getting too crispy. That soft, chewy texture is what kids seem to like. You can frost them with regular frosting from a can and color it if you want. Top them off with sprinkles. You have to sprinkle them right away while the frosting is still moist so the sprinkles will stick. If you want to use sprinkles but not frosting, put them on before baking. To get them to stick to the cookie, spritz the raw cookie with a little water and then put on the sprinkles.

Those are my cookies baking tips for today! Since we're leaving on Friday for WDW, I'm not baking cookies this year. I've already had a request for a big plate of them for a 5th grade party but had to say no. My sons' won't be at their class parties on Friday because they'll be on a plane!

we do 'smore' treats.

take the rice crispy treats recipie and substitute honey grahams cereal, also add chocolate chips.

quick, easy and quickly devoured (ours never make it out of the pan :guilty: ).
