Hi, those of you that knew I was arranging to send my parents a cookie bouquet..it worked! Yay!

The hotel put the bouquet and helium balloon in their room, so when they got back in after their anniversary meal it was a lovely surprise for them.

We go out there Saturday, so will try to post a pic.

I am so pleased! I bookmarked the page for that link. I think it is an awesome idea. I bet they felt really special. :)

No, my parents are staying at the Hilton Parc Soleil Suites. That;s why I chose the company as they seem to deliver anywhere. If anyone is ordering, you can only input a US billing address, I emailed them to ask about this and they said I could use any US address as long as my credit card info was correct - I just used the address of the hotel where I will be staying.

They're quite impressive but rather expensive!

I've been trying to think of something nice to do for my DBF but I'm not sure what direction to go in. :confused3

Hmmm, that sounds nice. What kind of personality does he have? I mean some guys would love a basket of cookies. Others want something a bit more subtle if you know what I mean. Like tickets to Cirque or a short excursion of something. Not sure where your DB falls into those categories, but something for you to ponder on.

He would actually really like a basket of cookies (he'd like anything edible ). Although the arrangements are very nice, I think they are expensive for what they are. I was thinking of La Nouba tickets actually, as he's shown some interest in it. The Wishes cruise sounds appealing too, although I have no idea how much that will set me back!

Wishes cruise is somewhere around $350 plus tip for the captain. If you managed to arrange people to share with you and split the cost it isn't too bad though. That would make a great memory!

ETA: Have you checked out the thread on the Resort Photo Sessions? You could do a basic package for $49. Now your DB can't eat that, but you'll get to keep it for ever.

I thought it was expensive too - but figured as it was a nice one off for my parents, I didn't mind the price. I was also given the option to add a helium balloon at the end for $3.50.

It really would! I might look into this further.

:rotfl:

While I like the sound of a photoshoot, DBF doesn't really like having his photo taken. I don't think he'd enjoy the 'forced' situation. :(

I bet they really liked it. Which one did you send?

Have you thought about a Segway tour or something? What about parasailing at the Contemporary - DH loved that :thumbsup2

I was considering a Segway tour actually, they look quite fun! I didn't know about the parasailing at the Contemporary, that sounds good too. So many options, so little time to decide...

The Fort Wilderness Segway tour is great (there's a review of it in my Fred, Wilma and Family do Disney report - Day 2). More info about parasailing at the Contemporary here

ETA - we have done both Segway tours (although I understand there is a new one now too) and much preferred the Fort Wilderness but the Epcot one is good too (review of that one in Fred, Wilma and Friends February Fun etc. etc.)

Thanks Joh, I'll have a look now. :thumbsup2

Hope you don't mind me jumping in :)

We did the Fort Wilderness Segway Tour and absolutely loved it

DH thought it was great - he wanted to buy one afterwards
