Convoluted ? about how to manage with a larger family

Here's my situation.We are sailing on the Wonder 1/16/05.(me ,DH, DD 17,DD 13, DD 9,& DS 8) I'm sure that the teens will want to stay out as late as Mom and Dad and I would like to let them as it is their vacation too.What do you do with the younger kids who will be tired by 11 pm? They will be in the Lab and I don't believe they have mats and movies for this age group.Are the activities low key late at night? I really don't think hubby and I will be out much past midnight,but if we're having fun somewhere it would be great to be able to stay.

I didn't know that the 8 & 9 year old group didn't have anywhere to nap/sleep/relax. I just assumed they could go in the club to watch the movie on a mat.
Does anyone know what the policy is?

Your kids will surprise you. We have a very strict sleep time in our house. We let it go for the cruise thinking that even though we were letting them stay up late they would be in bed by 11:00. The first cruise my DD7 then was going to bed at 7:00 at night at home but on the cruise was up until midnight almost every night. Worse as the years went on they were up at midnight ordering hamburgers and fries as a snack. They love that the mom rules are gone. It's one of the best parts of the vacation.

There are a couple night that they show movies in the lab. My DD hated the movie nights in the club. She prefers the activities they have planned for them. It's one of the reasons she couldn't wait to be old enough for the lab.

Staylor: You can not switch between the clubs. If your child is signed up for the lab they can't go back and forth between the lab and club.

sweetspot, thanks so much for the quick reply. My DS8 will probably not have a problem at all being up and having fun. He too will love that the "mom" rules will be out the window.

My kids had no problem with the lack of sleep...or all the ice cream they could eat!
