Convinced Epcot needs two new E-tix attractions

Just by looking at the wait times at Soarin' (90 minutes expected) and Test Track (70 minutes expected) one can see that Epcot is in need of two new E ticket attractions to try and spread the crowds out a bit. There just isn't enough (especially new attractions) in Future World to disperse the crowds and keep the lines reasonable for the two main attractions. When the line for Journey Into Imagination is 25 minutes you know people are desperate. Look at the Magic Kingdom, because it has so many great attractions the maximum wait is 75 minutes for Splash.

I agree, but I'd say Epcot needs at least 4 new E-tickets. Or just give up and turn it into a mall that is free to get into (or cut the price at least in half)

They could use a few new rides, I like World Showcase as it is without any big rides there, and I think there's a better possibility for Future World to have more exciting rides....they could do with a new WS pavilion though...

Could use something more, Epcot as it is gets boring eventually. Maybe an exciting gondola ride in Italy or the Rhine river boat ride in Germany they planned early on. Or something new in future world

I don't think Epcot is at all boring. I think Ellen's energy ride needs to be redone. I think Imagination needs to go back to more in line with the original attraction. And I think something needs to be done with the Old Wonders of Life pavillion besides making it into a festival center.

I like World showcase just fine.

Now The Studios has several but guests seems to be inundating TSM. You can't get on that ride without a long line.

Yeah I just meant I get a bit tired of the attractions after being there a few times kinda close to each other. Good ideas. Definitely something needs to be done to the Old Wonders of Life pavillion, that'd help with crowds

I think that World Showcase is fine but Future World is just a shadow of its former self. There is so little to do there now!

Agreed!! I wish they would open the WS at the same time as FW so those of us who "love" Epcot because of the WS can actually enjoy it earlier in the day. We love Soarin', too, but with the expected FP+ changes coming we may not spend as much time in Epcot if we can't get more than 1 FP for that ride per day.

They had a lot of plans to build attractions in World Showcase that never came to fruition. Epcot is my favorite park, hands down, but I would love to see two or three more E-Ticket attractions instead of the defunct Wonders of Life, the pointless Journey Into Imagination debacle and the unrideable Mission:Space (my opinion).

Yeah, I was specifically talking about Future World. When I look at FW it really only has 3 E-ticket attractions and the rest would be A or B (One could say that Nemo, SE, and LWTL are C ticket attractions) tickets. If you look at the MK, it has 3 E tickets (the mountains), but also has a ton of D & C ticket rides (POTC, JC, HM, PP, LM, Buzz, Autopia, and Pooh).

There just isn't enough in Future World right now.

I had a lot of trouble explaining to DBF on our last trip why Future World was a few rides and a "dead zone" of defunct attractions. I didn't have an explanation. My previous trip, the empty/closed buildings had stuff in them. My kids loved EPCOT. I went back without them 6 years later and ...ummm...where was all the stuff they loved?

I don't think they necessarily need "E Ticket" which most people equate to thrill rides, jsut more interesting things. Energy has aged, and needs a refurb. The Life pavillion should be reopened or replaced.

I would honestly scrap Innoventions, but I know they get a lot of sponsors there. Seems like the space could be used for something better though.

I'd prefer adding twice that number of family rides. You need something to absorb the crowds that aren't riding e-tickets at the time, and there are a lot of people who'd rather ride a family ride now than wait in line for an E-ticket. Variety is one of the things that makes the Magic Kingdom so successful.

I love EPCOT, but Future World is beyond anachronistic. The Imagination/Wonders of Life pavilions, Innoventions, and Universe of Energy should all be demolished/updated. I don't know if FW will be improved anytime soon, though, as a refurb with any kind of impact would be extremely expensive and it looks like Disney's money is going to be funneled into HS and AK in the (relatively) near future.

Yeah, but those people are incorrect. I'm pretty sure Small World and Hall of Presidents were among the E-Ticket attractions... It's about what the "best" attractions are in scope and by audience reaction.

Indeed an argument could be made for adding C and D ticket rides. You could do more of them at a lesser expense. However, I don't know how much that would alleviate the long lines for Soarin' and Test Track.
