Converting to an AP with a Split Stay... I'm lost please help

We are going to WDW in November and we have two reservations: a single day stay and a multi-day free dining package stay. With the free dining package, we have a multi-day ticket that covers our entire stay, but since the single day stay comes first, we are unable to book fast passes for the first day. We are planning on converting our tickets to annual passes once we arrive. Would it be possible to add a single day ticket to the first day in order to book fast passes, then convert the single day tickets and the multi day tickets into annual passes? I'm totally confused- please help (many thanks!!!!).

Unless I'm reading it wrong, it sounds like the OP wants to combine the single day tickets with the multi-day tickets toward the cost of APs, which can't be done.

That's the case.

This. For most groups the park that has the easiest to get FP would be AK so general advice is to hold off booked AK FP till you do the necessary upgrade to the ticket.
If your trip is after RoL opens, then that advice may well change.
