Converting tix to magic bands

We have 5 days NE tix that we bought in 2009 for hubby, son and me. We will need to buy tix for my dd. How do we all get Magic Bands?

You get Magic Bands for free with an onsite reservation. If you're staying offsite, you can buy them for $12.95 each, but they're not necessary.

Thanks for the reply. We will be staying off site. I thought that you needed magic bands to use fast pass. That's why I asked. I've been doing more reading to understand the newer system. Now it looks like I need to figure out how to link my tix to the my experience page so I can reserve fast passes. I have time to figure it all out. We aren't going til summer. I miss the older days where you didn't need to plan every detail ahead. We like a more relaxed approach.
