Hi

I called Disneyland and the lady I talked to was not sure if this is allowed or not so I thought I would ask here. Our families gave us DL tickets 2 day hoppers. We have 10 of them for 5 of us. We want to convert these toward the purchase price of the Deluxe Annual pass (the 315 days one) for each of us and pay the difference. One CM said that you can only use one of the hopper tickets per person toward the annual pass but another one said no that was not true. So they both deceided that we should just go to GS and ask them once we get there but I would like to know ahead of time.

Our families mean well but what we asked for was GC toward the puchase of the passes. Any ideas?

We live close by (about 30 minutes away) so that is why want the annual passes.

Thanks
Lori B

If I'm reading your problem right, You want to be able to use the value of 2 parkhoppers per person to upgrade to an annual pass. If that's the case I don't believe it's possible. You can only use 1 parkhopper ticket/per person to upgrade to an annual pass.

Yes that is what we want to do. Would it be better to convert the two 2 day hopper into a a 5 day then later on convert that one 5 day hopper into an annual and just pay the $10 difference???

Thank you
Lori B

Call Guest Services directly rather than the other folks and ask for a supervisor and get their name. If you can't do that - then, yes, I'd combine them into a 5-day and then get the AP on the last day of your trip.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew whether these 2-day hopper passes must be purchased at full price? I have the same situation, though without the convenience of living as close to Disneyland (lucky you!), but I have 2-day hoppers through military discounts.
Thanks

Not too sure if one could convert 2 2-day hoppers into one parkhopper. I've only heard of people adding days to their parkhoppers or upgrading to an AP by paying the difference in price. On DL website, the value of a 2 day hopper is $122 X 2 hoppers = $244. An AP is $239 and an adavnce purchase of 5 dayhopper is $189. I wouldn't know how that would work since your 2 2-day hopper value would be more than the AP or a 5day hopper. Call Disney aagain nd see what they can do for you. If they can't help, ebay is always an option.

To upgrade to an AP? It doesn't matter if the parkhopers are discounted or full price. The price you paid for your hopper is encoded in your ticket and the price you paid will be credited toward your parkhoper upgrade or AP upgrade.

Yes, I found this out too after I called Disneyland Ticket Box and they said they will convert the value of the Hopper, whether it be the two day or five day hopper (providing you have at least one day left unused) into an Annual Pass (also depending on which Annual Pass you choose)- then you pay the difference. What they do is scan the actual pass you will be converting and they will know the actual value.
Hope this helps somewhat!;)

Thanks everyone. We just got back from DL and we were able to take all of our 2 day hoppers (10 in total for the 5 of us) and only paid out of pocket 98 dollars for difference for converting to the Deluxe AP and one of them with parking.

I know 5 of the hoppers were bought at the Disney Store and am not sure how much my parents paid for them. The other set was a discounted pre-ordered tickets but we were still given the full value price toward the converstion to the Deluxe AP.

Thanks for reporting back on upgrade and setting me straight. Glad everything worked out and that you were able to upgrade with minmal costs.
