I feel like I should know this but...

I am heading to a convention/training being held at the Hyatt Regency in Garden Grove in November. I am dying that I will be that close to Disneyland and not be able to visit the park (no way to get extra days). I will have one evening (the evening of arrival) that I could potentially visit the park. Do they still have convention/twilight tickets available to conventions? I assume I would have to go through the convention to get them (if they do). And does anyone know the ballpark of what the cost is of the convention/twilight tickets?

I am coming to terms with the fact that I won't likely be able to visit the park. But I figured I would ask just in case...

Yes, the tickets, if offered, would be available through your convention. If you can't get a ticket to the parks, would dinner at Trader Sam's or in DTD do as a consolation prize?

Thank you. This is what I thought. I might head down to DTD for dinner/drinks. I already priced an Uber (about $7 each way), so we'll see.

I was in the same boat Monday of Labor day; had a great night at Trader Sam's! Wish I could have been at DL for a bit for a single day the price was crazy. Downtown Disney was a huge disappointment IMHO.

FYI, Convention tickets or "twilight tickets" are only available if your convention has made arrangements in advance to have those available to their attendees. Not available that the gates just because you are attending any convention

A few years ago I was at a convention at the DLH. Twilight tickets were available, but only through the convention website and you had to buy ahead (learned that the hard way!). I remember thinking they were pretty pricey for a half day.

Definitely ask your organizers, though.

It would be so sad to be so close and not go!

It may vary by convention, but it's really not much of a twilight discount. I think it's in the $80+ range versus full price peak of $110. The delta is less if it's a non-peak day. Don't let that keep you out!

Thanks everyone. I’ve resigned that it just isn’t meant to be. For the 5 hours (at most) that I would get to visit it would have to be $50 or less. I see no mention that this is an option so I’m assuming it’s not.

We’re usually skipping the twilight tickets, since they’re really not that cheap. Instead we arrive a day before the conference & get a 2-day hopper.

So I found out they are offering convention/twilight tickets. They are $84. Regular admission is $97 (or $90 through the convention link). Sorry not even close to enough of a discount to get me to purchase.

Wow that doesn't seem right, if a full day is $97. Major Bummer!

Isn't it crazy? I remembered it being $70 when I went, I think. That was 5 or 6 years ago.

How sad to be so close and miss it!
