Convention tickets and FP+

I've been searching for the answer to this and can't seem to find any threads specifically addressing convention tickets and linking to MDE.

A friend of mine is attending a convention in May 2014 where she can purchase discounted convention tickets through Disney. Her family is joining her on the last day of her convention and they will all be staying at Art of Animation for a few days after her convention concludes. It will save their family over $100 to buy the convention tickets, but the reservations cast member told her that she won't be able to use the tickets for FP+.

Is this accurate or will she be able to link her convention tickets to MDE like the UCT?

We have convention tickets for early December and we were able to customize the bands and pick FP+. We bought 8 day tickets and were able to book FP+ on all 8 days even though the convention is only 3 days long.

We have convention tickets for February and we're staying at the CR. I bought them over the phone with the convention ticket office. They showed up right away on MDE.

Just purchased my convention tickets by phone with group sales and they auto-linked to MDE, but are listed as "pre-arrival" and apparently are not yet active to book FP+. We are staying at GF and the resort reservation is linked to MDE as well.

Does anyone know if I will be able to book FP+ at the 60 day mark?
