Convention Ticket Question

I am attending a convention Easter week and I can get discounted tickets through the convention.

I am getting 5 days tickets for 3 people. Since it is a >2 day ticket, a bonus ticket is added such as to the Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach, DisneyQuest, Golf, etc.

Without Park Hopper= $831.03
With Park Hopper = $1,000.68 both w/ taxes


I figure we will do each park a day. Three of those days will be after 12pm due to the conference. One off day and one day with repeat MK or another park.


Two Questions...

1. Is this a good deal on tickets considering the additional bonus park tickets?
2. This is our 1st WDW trip as a family (haven't been since the early 90's)and is the Park Hopper worth the $170 extra?

If on property, I'd get the hopper passes so time to go back to the room and experience an evening at another park. Also depends on where on property, some of the resorts are too far to hassle with the busses etc... in the evening--- have fun. I'm going in 3 days and am FIRED UP!!!

Are you staying on site? Who is in your party? What are their ages? On your conference days, can't other members of your party go to the parks while you are in your conference?

The conference is at the GF and will be staying on site there. It is just DH, DD and I. DH and DD11 will likely go to a park or the pool while I am at conference.

Too far?

Every resort is "too far" from a park(s) that is far away, and "close" to a park(s) that is nearby.

Resorts and parks are all over the property.

will be buying the same tickets myself later today for a conference in February. I did the math compared to the undercovertourist discount and I still come out slightly ahead so I'm going to buy the parkhoppers in case we want to have dinner in a different park.

I reviewed the convention web site and didn't see any reference of a certain date that tickets needed to be ordered. If it is MCE conference, I would call and ask. I am impressed how helpful they have been so far.

We attended a conference several years ago and upgraded our 3 day passes to 10 day no expire. Depends on the ticket. Half day convention one cannot. Pixie dust!
