convenience stores

are there any stores within walking distance of the DL hotels where one can purchase snacks/drinks to keep in the hotel room? Thanks

There's a 7/11 at the corner of Harbor and Katella. Each of the Disney hotels has a store with a small selection of things to purchase, and I imagine that might have been enhanced with the opening of the Villas at GCH.

I know there is a Target and Kmart in the vicinity. I don't think they are within walking distance but I bet there is a bus route that can take you there?

Depending on how much you need, you could get a grocery delivery. We used Albertson's, and I don't remember their minimum purchase being too high. The downside is that you have to schedule and be at your hotel for delivery (check with your hotel, they may be willing to accept the delivery and store the stuff in their fridges).

Only Von's delivers now and their minimum is $50. They do send you a no fee first delivery code on your first order. you do not have to be in your room for them to deliver. Mopst hotels will sign for you. Most will keep them in the front for you and refridgerate your cold stuff. And I have heard of some even putting them in your room and room fridge

Isn't there an AM-PM on the northwest corner of the resort?

It's at Ball Rd and Disneyland Drive, which I'm thinking would be a harrowing walk from the DLR hotels. You need to walk north on the east side of DL Drive and then two crosswalks to get to the AM-PM. There are a handful of hotels right there though, so that would work for the folks staying there.

There is a really well stocked convenience store out the front of the Ramada Maingate , there is also one near the Candy Cane (7-11 ?)

There is a well-stocked convenience store called the Minni Mart in the front of the Tropicanna Motel, I think that is the one. It is across the street from DL on Harbor. We always buy a gallon or two of water and anything else that we need there. HTH!

Target is in Garden Grove which is right next to Anaheim. Depending upon where one might be staying, it could be within walking distance, otherwise, not so much. I love Target, I highly recommend shopping there. There is another Target, I believe it is in Fullerton, way up the road anyway from Disney land. And I do mean way up.... GG is so much closer.
Then there is a AM/PM mini mart, hey it is better than nothing on the corner of West Ball Rd and Disneyland Drive.
