Controversial topics board....did I do something wrong?

I'm not sure if I'm in the minority or not but I've actually appreciated to be able to see the titles on the controversial board. I haven't joined that sub-forum, I may or may not in the future (maybe next year?? not sure) but being able to see that sometimes has made it like "eh...not now"

I understand the sentiment behind hiding that away like a poster has mentioned, I do, but I for one have used that as a way almost to keep an internal interest level gauge for me and you're only seeing the most recent thread added to if you are on the page a PP screen shot, you have to actively click more to see more (which I didn't do until just now). I don't personally need it to be hidden away despite not having joined it yet, is I guess what I'm saying.
I like being able to see it, lessens my temptation to ask to join.

It's the best way to prevent the car rolling backwards or forwards on any slope.
Why not the brake pedal?

I don't drive an automatic.
If I'm in the US and I hire an automatic I put the car in park at a traffic light.

Why?
I’m just genuinely curious, I can’t imagine putting it in park for a stop light… are we talking any specific or any/all stop lights?

In the US, the only new cars I am aware of where you can get a manual transmission is some sort of sports car or perhaps a few models of pickups. The vast majority of vehicles don't even offer a manual. I think the brake light issue is getting confused with a prior discussion about bright headlights. Aftermarket headlights or those someone installed on their own and didn't bother to aim correctly can be annoying when driving toward someone in the dark.

A "sport version stick shift" refers to a manual transmission (stick shift) available in a sporty car model, allowing the driver more control and engagement with the driving experience, often preferred by enthusiasts for its ability to precisely manage gear changes and maximize performance in spirited driving situations.

I don't know how to drive it in sport. My husband seems to love it.

Why would you post this? What do you gain from it? You are clearly attacking another poster. That is uncalled for and nasty.

How is that attacking anyone? No one has called Tipsy names or made any judgmental comments. Simply a question and response.

As stated prior, this is a "discussion" board after all.

Considering you "liked" said post I'm going to assume you agree.

If we are asking if certain posters go to the parks, then I want to know how many times in a year everyone has shopped at Target, because curiosity :scratchin
We're there maybe around 5x/week. It's sort of crazy, but many times we successfully run in for one thing and leave with just that item. I live in an area where you need a car to get between places so it's easy to barely get any steps in a day, so we go up and down all the aisles at Target to get steps.

My younger son, once he got his driver's license, started talking about wanted to get a manual car, which is funny, since he didn't know how to drive a stick yet (I taught him fairly quickly). Finding one was not an easy task - he finally found one on Facebook marketplace that wasn't too bad, price wise and met his expectations. Now that he's away at college and the car is still at home, I figure someone needs to drive it, right? ;) :D It's a 'hot hatchback' - a Mazda Speed3 (with a few modifications - all of which my wife hates :rolleyes1 )
Fun car!!! I might have to drive it some too ... make sure to keep it running and battery charged! :cool2:

I have a 1971 VW Karman Ghia convertible, fire engine red. :car:

And for the Forum's benefit, if folks do see it, it might encourage them to join in and participate. Clicks are what every forum needs and I imagine over there a single thread could get lots of clicks.

While I'm not there, I think it's fine to see the titles as opposed to "Ignored Thread".

It's really just the same posters on every thread. I'm not seeing a lot of random posts.
