I have been finding a few posts here and there about negative experiences when calling CRO lately. I myself have been fortunate NOT to have that experience.

I have called CRO about 4 unrelated things in the past two weeks. Most recently yesterday. Every CM I have talked to has been very personable and pleasant. I really enjoy talking with the CM's who have a good sense of humor and are excited about booking something for me.

I just wanted to share for people who are new to the boards and new to calling CRO that the negative experiences are not the norm. :)

I agree. During the Code breakout, I think the CM's were a bit stressed, but still pleasant to deal with.

Have a great day. :flower: :sunny: :sunny:

I have a complaint. The CM who helped us book our AP rate AKL room was too nice. She had too many great things to say about the AKL, and even though I was very interested, I hadta go hadta go hadta go right then. pirate:

I had the most wonderful CM when we booked our CR 14th floor room, last spring. It took her over an hour to figure out exactly how to book it with the discount. She just didn't give up! She saved us a lot of money. :cloud9: :cheer2:

I hope that what you say is true, I hope that most of the CMs at CRO are knowledgable and good spirited. For the most part, I have had lots of very nice people, but some that are giving out some very incorrect information. I spoke with a CM yesterday who told me that I couldn't make a reservation in December because it was more than 90 days out. You read that right. She said you can not make a resort reservation until 90 days before your trip. Last week I had a CM tell me that the deluxe rooms at the Grand Floridian Royal Palm Club only sleep four people. That is just the begining of the incorrect information I have gotten lately in the process of planning two trips. Most of the CMs you speak to are trying hard and are pleasant, but I think it is important to also let newbies know that you have to do your research and know what you are looking for because you don't always get the same answer twice when calling CRO. :rotfl:

This may be true, but this is a separate issue from politeness. I'm not excusing ignorance, but considering all they have to deal with, it doesn't surprise me that they don't all know everything. So yes, sometimes you have to call back to talk with somebody who has a little more experience.

But as far as pleasantness and politeness goes, for the past couple of weeks, I've been calling once a day to check on room availablility and sometimes more frequently for other matters, an I have yet to deal with anybody who was impolite. I think people often treat you as you treat them.

Well put, I was about to post something sarcastic about the Bad Ferry throwing a wet blanket or something, but you made my point.
BTW How's Ambah?

:rotfl: I too have great experiences talking with the CM's, I feel that I ask complicated questionss! I love getting them to talk!! When I put the deposit down, I always try and get them to talk about future (we're going in Oct) possiblities... one CM told me a story of how when he was in college, saved money, and then thought it was gone forever, only to discover it 20 years later... in his record album :rotfl2: This had nothing to do with Disney, it was just a pleasant, casual conversation!!

One CM made sure I knew she was an "expert" on Disney (I always apologize before I ask my questions!) she sounded put out, defensive... until I asked my question!! LOL, at least she said "wow, you do your homework"!! :rotfl:

One CM did incorrect info, it was something minor, but I cant remember what it was... it was small, and she did correct herself...

always enjoyble... but you know now that I know they 1. arent in Disney and 2 dont give us their real names... it's very hard not to LOL :rotfl2: when I call!! :earboy2:

All the CM's that I have talk to for our upcoming trip were great. They are very patient with me.I ask a lot of question. :teeth:

I've had good experiences with all of the ones I have spoken to as well. I've made about 5 calls - the first for our initial reservation and then at least three more - to make a resort change and other requests. They've all been very excited for us that this our first time on property.

A dumb question - I know what CRO refers to, but what does it actually stand for?? :confused3

Add me to the list of having had only nice, polite CM's to speak with & I really appreciate that. It must be difficult dealing with so many types of people all day, every day.

I had a rude gal last week - very rude.. :(

Then I called on Saturday and got "Henry".. Let's just say I'm in love with Henry - LOL.. He was the sweetest guy ever and SO very helpful!! :teeth:

I've had some real good CMs. The very first one I talked to about our past November trip seemed a little ho hum, but every other one has been good and I even got him again later on and he was a lot better. We even had one who should be given the 'Cheerleader of the Year' award. Talk about perky!:)

If you have any rude CMs soon, it might not be their fault. Mouseplanet reported yesterday Mouseplanet that the CMs at the DRC are not being allowed to take breaks and their morale is sinking like crazy.

I must say the CM's are always pleasant and easy to deal with. I think they help sell disney..... :)

Shells9 - When are you going to be at theCR? We will be there May 14th - May 22nd.

I believe it's a little bit of both CM's not always having their best day and we DVC'ers habit of higher expectations. I often read scorching accounts of how bad BCV is or BWV, WLV ......take your pick! I suspect that a few of "us" often have unrealistic expectations and some are what I consider to be much like the old Phil Hartman saturday night live character "The anal retentive carpenter". So when one of our ARC's get a CM that is less than 100% gung ho, "thank you sir, may I have another", We come away a bit discouraged. I think this post should meet your acronym requirements for the day!
