I asked MS I'd that would be a problem and yet said no...do you think it will get transferred to my new member number? I just saw it there yesterday! I hope that there is still availability if it wasn't transferred over!!!

I changed my contract and I had a 2 week Akv CL over Christmas and MS transferred it superbly!!
It has to be done manually so give them a day or 2.
Although my member # changed my web login stayed the same and I found all my ressies online

We are going thru the same process right now. Our guide said that he had to send over a detailed email to "the other side" of the business and that they would take care of it. We just changed yesterday so we are still waiting...

Don't worry. We did that last year and it happened to us. The reservations are still there, you just can't see them any longer.

I freaked out as well and when I called MS, she was able to find them (well, the supervisor was).

They said it had something to do with things being pulled and re-done. I am sure you are fine.

Thank you! We are just signing up so we weren't even able to get a room at VGC for our first trip as members so we will just have to wait until nov for our first trip...

I would double check. I had the same thing happen to me. Our first contract was a finance contract and I had made a reservation. Then we decided to pay in full and because of that, my reservation was automatically cancelled and I had to rebook.

They could not find my reservation or waitlist. Luckily my room type was still available!

oh no! that's not an update I want to hear....our contract was just redone and now our reservation is missing, too :headache:

Off to call MS...

Yes, not finalized. Reworked after the webcast with the new incentives.

So, MS could not find my reservation at first, but after placing me on hold she told me that the reservation was still standing, but attached to the "old" contract number. Someone will manually transfer it over to the new contract number in the next couple of days, and then I will be able to see it online.

I will say that she did not believe that I had an actual reservation, but only a hold from a guide. I told her I had the reservation number and confirmation we received in the mail from member services, and it was only then that she went looking.

I told them the same thing..she searched under my name and old membership ID and she still could not fund it. I had the confirmation letter also but she said that she can not search under reservation number which I thought was strange.

I hope that I didn't mess up by rebooking another reservation!

Odd...she said she couldn't look elsewhere unless she HAD a reservation number

As of right now my 2009 points aren't banked, either, so I will keep an eye on things over the next week.

A little update...my guide called today and asked me to call member services and make sure that they banked our 2009 points for us, so I did (and they hadn't).
I had the most wonderful Mary Poppins-like lady helping me :goodvibes She said because the reservation wasn't showing up for her she wanted to check on it.. She came back on the line and said it was there, but still with the old contract and not much use to us there. She moved it over, and we discovered that there were no longer any notes attached to it....names, celebration, dining plan, and magical express were gone!

So I'm glad I called again!

I had a nice lady helping me today also!!! The best ever since I first started this whole process. She was able to make an exception since I just signed up and wait listed...They did not bank the 102 points that I would need if my waitlist came through but she did bank the 58 points remaining. She noted my file and said that if my waitlist doesn't go through then I can either bank the points or book with paradise pier or disneyland hotel.

Since my UY is August then I should bank my points by tomorrow but she said that I will be fine until June. I am going to call tomorrow and confirm that those notes are actually there and if not I will just have to make a decision on which hotel to book.

Also when I called she said that there was a 1br for one of my days avail...which I wanted but by the time she fixed everything and spoke with the manager the room was not available anymore. she said that one minute it could be there and then gone the next. now i'm wondering how often should I be calling and when should I be calling???

How could my whole waitlist come through if people are able to take the canceled rooms one day at a time? this is all confusing to me. i can't wait to just finally take my first vacation as a dvc member...

this consumes my whole day! lol...its okay...i love it! i just hate that my job interrupts and takes my time away from disboards.com

It is just the way it works. If you have a week long waitlist and somebody else just has a day that is on the waitlist after you, that person will get the room. The whole waitlist must be avaible. This is why it is a good idea to call back and try to get as many days posssible for your trip and WL fewer days or individual days.
