Contracts drying up??

We do have a bug for this broker at the moment. Working on a fix :-)
It’s funny, I bet a lot of them throw a wrench in your gears all the time purposely, but making their contracts not show up just gets less eyes on them, so it seems like a bad plan. lol

That would for sure hurt them in the long run. I rarely go directly to the broker sites directly. I will start, check one and then get side tracked by something else (👀 at you disboards)

I'm also a little surprised that no one has sent them a cease and desist letter yet. Pretty much every web site in existence forbids this sort of thing. For example, one broker says this in their T&C:

You are not allowed to use any robot, spider or other automated process to monitor, data mine or copy DVC Resale Market products, services or information

Smaller brokers probably don't care, because it gives them exposure. But the larger players could potentially see this as just a way to generate visibility for the competition that spends less on advertising.

Edited to add: For example, when I read this post, I see that DISBoards automagically inserts a referral link to DVCRM, and I'm pretty sure that DVCRM pays for it in some way.

If only DVC would enforce this on these same big brokers that use bots for rental bookings.

Under prior ownership, aggregators never seemed to stay off the banned list for very long here.

12 contracts just gone up on DVC for less from a broker. non of the have current points. So would this be the broker stripping them
They are either renting the points or using MS to transfer them to another account. (I do wonder why MS allows this, though.). In general, loaded contract only change the PP price a little and bring far more value than the price increase.

How would transferring even work though? Isn’t it one transfer in or out per year?

If they bought a bunch of contracts under the same owner on the titles (the company, an owner, etc.) then Disney usually lets you transfer between your OWN memberships/accounts/contracts WITHOUT it counting towards the 1 per year limit.

So they could buy 10 contracts with a bunch of different resorts and use years, transfer all of the points to one of the memberships to hold them for use/rent, then sell the other 9 contracts stripped

Yep, this is exactly what I "think" is happening. But again, I don't know for sure.

Ahhh okay. I still need to learn all the rules for transfers etc.

I was also thinking an engaged seller might also do this themselves prior to sale.

The contract allows us to transfer in or out of our memberships, so MS doesn’t have the right to tell someone they can’t, unless they hear one of the owners say there is pay involved.
