Contract signing questions for disney world!!

Hello everyone! I was wondering if anyone had been through the contract signing process at WDW?

We are about to sign our contract and are concerned that it states that they have the ability to pretty much change everything we have planned to this point and up to our date?

If you have been married at WDW did your guests get moved from hotel to hotel? Did your venue change or reception site?

I'm just nervous to plan my "happily ever after" if it is going to be nothing that I actually plan.

i dont think you have anything to worry bout....i think thats in there now due to all the drama with the GF construction and the WP

It doesn't happen often. I'd say the most likely scenario would be if you were using a convention location and a large convention booked after you and could potentially bump you from your site. I think they also put it there for bad weather if you have an outdoor location, they can move you to a backup of their choice.

So a convention already bumped us once from our original date! lol! This is why I am concerned. I think that we are going to be ok. I want the contract to guarantee that they will keep our guests where they are once they book and that they can gaurentee the reception site at the GF. I have my fingers crossed we talk to the planner tomorrow!!

I have never heard of guests being moved hotels at all. However, if you are using a location for your reception at the GF, that is often used for conventions, I don't think that DFTW will guarantee that
your event will not be moved to accommodate a convention, at this stage.
There were a couple of brides recently who were asked to change their ceremony location due to the construction at the GF. This is unusual, and as a previous poster said, is probably unlikely to be repeated as the construction is moving forward now!!
One thing that seems to get altered/cancelled more frequently is the MK bridal shoots.

They won't guarantee that for you but its only really in there in the event of something major happening. Any hotel booking would be the same really. When they did some updating at PO the other year lots of people got moved to SSR.
