Contract number discrepancy

I was just given a membership id and logged into the dvc website for the first time (how exciting!). I noticed that the contract number listed in my profile is not the same as the number on the actual contract I signed. Is this normal? The first few digits are the same. I sure hate to spend another hour on the phone trying to work out another of Disney’s errors on my contract.

Yes, I think that's normal. The "contract number" you see is unique to your membership. If you add more contracts to that account, they'll be given the same contract number but with .1, .2, .3, etc. The number won't match whatever the contract number was for the former owner.

The contract number was the old owners.
