Been reading all day and have a new question for all you camera experts out there!

I have read lots of reviews mentioning that the A540 can do "continuous shooting" using high speed cards. Are they talking about video mode, or is there a setting on the camera so you can just hold down the button and take lots of cameras.
Here's what the descripion says:

The speed of continuous shooting has been increased to approx. 2.3 shots/sec

Thanks! :goodvibes

"Continuous shooting" is when you press and hold the shutter button down and the camera keeps taking one photo after another until the buffer fills up. It is used alot in sports photography.

you normally have to turn this on. on canon cameras, this is usually the same button as the self-timer.

Thanks! That makes sense! I think we have finally decided on the camera we want. Now we just have to figure out the lowest price!

The speed of the continuous shooting is only part of the equation, the other is how many pictures before the buffer is full.

If you start taking a lot of cameras, Disney Security may want a word with you......... if you're taking them from other people, at least!

:rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao:
I just about fell off my chair... I didn't even notice! :rotfl:

Oops!!!!
I guess I'd better just take pictures then... although it would make my search for a new camera easier, I could just try them all until I found one I liked. :teeth: ;)
