Continuing Reservation or Link Reservations together

We are arriving Aug. 23rd staying one night before free dining reservation starts Aug.24th. I made the reservations on-line separately. So I called to ask to get them linked together so that we may not have to move hotel rooms. She took my first reservation # and said she noted on it continuing reservation. Is that enough? Or should she have linked the #s together?

From my experience, "linked" reservations means that you have two reservations for two or more parties and that you want to be all together. "Combined" means that you are one party and have separate reservations for whatever reasons.

When I went and had two separate rervatons (two different rates), I had a combined reservation. When I went and wanted d to be near my in-laws, I had a linked reservations.

The CM noted that you will be "continuing" your stay at that one resort, first with one reservation and then with another reservation.

If you are booked in the same room type for both reservations, you probably will not even have to change rooms. I have done this with pin codes before and it has always been a very simple process.

On both occasions, I walked to the desk on the day the reservations lapped. They performed the "check-out" and charged my credit card for my purchases. Then they performed the "check-in", gave me new keys, and I walked back to the room. The entire process took no more than 10 minutes.

There is no guarantee that you will be in the same room. We had a continuing reservation at All Star Sports and we had to move. They said they had a sports team coming in and they blocked the whole building for them, even though when I checked in for the first time I told them I wanted to stay in the same room. We had a car so we just loaded up the car and moved back to Center Court...we were in Touchdown.
