Continental Article

I knew it wouldnt be long. Im sure the others will follow with similar announcements. I purchased our air for our October trip last week.

Thanks for posting. I'm with you, I've been thinking this was due to happen too. I purchased my October airfare this pass weekend.

yes, once you buy a ticket, the fare is locked in. I issued tickets for a client (i'm a travel agent) on the day of the increase. the fare was round-trip from Chicago to Orlando, and I had it for $175. One ticket was issued, and the other three about to print when I got an error message. The error was that IN THE MIDDLE OF ISSUEING THE TICKETS the fare had gone up to $275 per person! Fortunatly a quick call to the airline had them honoring the lower fare so all was good! But when a travel agent or the airline tells you that "prices can change at any time and are not guaranteed" WE REALLY MEAN IT! :)

You can't blame the airlines for raising prices, fuel is their #2 most expensive operating cost after payroll.

I've been checking the fares for Midwest and they jumped $40 per ticket Thursday.

I always thought this image was a humorous play on a terrible situation...

what a deal!!!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

I checked Sun 5-23 and found air $177 from Milwaukee to Orlando Oct 12-19!!!!

I didn't wait at all to book

then the icing on the cake!!!

My mom had a ticket that ws supposed to be for my sister's niece to come from NC To WI last year we at the last minute she couldn't come so now they have a ticket that my mom is giving me to use and just pay the name change fee.

but wait this gets better!!!

when I called to get this all set up I was told that the $100 name change fee will come off the total price of the ticket which was about $200 and the other $100 we can use to buy our other ticket!!!!

we'll be going round trip WI to WDW for $77!!!!! with great times!!!!

now all I need is a code for the hotel!!!

Just an update on the Continental increase's.............

Continental has withdrawn the increase because Northwest refused to raise their fares.:bounce:
