Continental Contract ID for National

Does anyone have an update on the validity of the Continental contract ID for National? There was a thread that discussed it a little while back, but I don't remember seeing whether anyone had actually been able to use the Continental ID successfully. If so, was any particular documentation required?

I tried it, and it did save me $5 on my 10 day rental, but I decided not to chance it.
