Has anyone ever stayed at the Cont. using points? I know you can't get Concierge, but is it possible to upgrade before checking in? w/ or w/out pts. (paying cash) ?

When we stayed at AKL conc. we upgraded while we were there to a 1 br suite and I swear they asked me if I wanted to use pts. for the upgrade, but of course I did not have any extra pts. at that time.

I love to try out different resorts, but being a family of 6 we need two rooms.

I know I read a post once from someone who was offered cash concierge services at the YC/BC when staying on points. To me, the add-on cost seemed prohibitively high. It was either $50 or 75 per person, per night just for access to the concierge lounge and associated services.

I bet the front desk of the resort could give you a more concrete answer.

Someday, maybe you can use points for a one bedroom or two bedroom villa.
