We're staying at the Contemporary for the very first time. We booked a tower room with a MK view. Are there any bad views in this room category? Is it possible to not have a decent view if we're on one of the lower floors? I'm just wondering if I should ask the travel agent to put in a request for us, or if all the rooms have good views of MK.

Thanks!

Ask for an upper floor. IF you are on the Chef Mickey's side of the tower and on a lower room floor, you will hear the Chef Mickey's song every 20 minutes in your bathroom in the AM and PM.

You do not hear the song in the room. You will love your balcony view. You can see the monorail go by - outside on the track to MK, fireworks in the evening, and some rides.

Enjoy !

My family and I once had a the Magic Kingdom View on the 6th floor which is the lowest floor you can get. There are no Magic Kingdom View rooms on the 5th floor because of the Monorail station, so they only have the Bay Lake View. Anyway we thought the view from there was great and we had no problems with it. So if you want to stay as high as possible the highest none Club Level floor you can request is the 11th floor and as for the music coming from Chef Mickey's, my family and I have had a room over the restaurant a few times and we did not think the music was that loud if we heard it while in our room.

Over the years we've been fortune and had many MK view rooms at CR. Not a one of them was bad. We even had a room dircetly over the monorail line once. I thought it would be noisy, but we never heard a sound. Naturally the higher the room, the better view of MK you have. I personally like sitting out on the balcony at night with a drink in hand, and watch the fireworks over MK. It is a totally different perspective of them. You can't go wrong with a MK view at CR IMO.

Thanks everyone! It sounds like we'll be fine with any MK view room. I appreciate your help! :goodvibes

Being on a balcony with an MK view at the Contemporary is an awesome experience. You will feel like you own the place! We have been on just about every floor from the 6th (the lowest on the MK side) to the 14th (the highest floor with guest rooms). We had the 14th earlier this year when we got a complimentary upgrade! Of course the view is a bit better the higher you go but believe me all floors are wonderful! If you are the kind of person who does not necessarily spend every last minute in the theme parks and you like a bit of resort time, you will be very gald you chose the Contemporary Resort. I had always wanted to stay there since I was a kid and saw this hotel with the Monorail going through it. Finally four years ago I stayed there for the first time and now I've been back there almost 10 times!

We'll be back there this October and I can't wait!

Is it possible to hear even a little bit of the sound track to "Wishes" from a theme-park view room? To me, the sound is so much a part of the show.

does anyone know if you can tune the poly tvs in to hear wishes too?
