keishashadow, thank you for the pics. I can't wait we stayed at the Poly in July and really enjoyed having the rehabed room. The beds in your pic look really comfy, are they? If you were going back would you want that same floor or higher/lower and why?

TIA, Have a Magical Day!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the beautiful pics. We are staying the end of June and after seeing the pics, I can't wait.

Just booked this for May (using my 40% discount code!) and I am so excited.

Thanks for the pics.

We were there in dec and stayed on the 5th floor 2nd fartherest room from the castle.. The rooms are great and the beds are the best. Some of the best sleep I have ever had. Be aware some beds in the rooms face towards the castle and some of the beds face the other direction. Not that it matters but if your bed faces the castle you can see it from your bed. Not a gripe just some info for you!

We stayed there in 2003 and loved it. We had 11th floor, MK view and it was great. I would try and get the highest floor you can without being conceirge. We had the old style rooms then. Call me Goofy:goofy: but I loved the old rooms with all the colors. We will stay there again, though, because this is one of our two favorite resorts!!

I agree with the last poster. Try to get a room on the 9th floor or above without going Concierge. We had a terrific view from the 11th floor. We were actually the last room all the way down at the south end of concourse. The view was spectacular, and the parking lot really wasn't that intrusive. What's better than getting two free fireworks shows a night!! That's right I said two, because we could walk out onto the concourse and witness the fireworks from Epcot through the glass wall.

I was skeptical about the CR seeing how that it is the oldest and least Disney-themed resort, but I would not hesitate to stay there again.

I will attempt to post a pic of the view off our balcony this evening, so stay tuned.

Hoo Boy! I'd be excited too if I could get 40% off the rack rate at the Contemporary. (I have a tower room w/MK view booked for December).
Who do you have to kill to get that kind of discount? LOL

Thanks.

The Poly is on our list (we are staying @ RPR for few days in June, hope the themeing is nice there too).

The CR beds were amazing, so comfy; along with the pillows too! They were higher than what i'm used to climbing in & out of, but no problem.

I had asked for a room closer to the castle & higher floor, but we were doing a split stay (traveling from BCV). On a whim, I called @ 9:30 a.m. to see if ANY room was ready:woohoo: , we took the open one.

Except for 1 night, we spent the evening on the balcony watching the fireworks; then immediately hopped into bed. Chef Mickey's was winding down by that point. Usually, i'm a very light sleeper but, I feel immediately asleep.

In the am the vibration of the monorail (not a noise, a sort of odd sensation) & Chef Mickey's winding up served as my alarm clock. IMO, can't ask for a better way to start the day!

btw, i luved the sinks:)

I had originally been planning for this room or AKL club level with the hopes of free dining, but when this discount came out my decision was made.

Thank you Thank you Thank you! I read about this once and completely forgot DD6 would love waking up to see MK from her bed.

I am not bothered by the thought of the parking lot, but that is really good to know. The fireworks is great that will make for a peaceful night. Thanks!

I got this rate by seeing a post about and email/postcard code so I called and the first day it wasn't there according to the CM. A couple of days later I called back to find out if they had all of my info correct and sure enough they didn't. The CM corrected my info and I got. Check out rates & codes to see all the dates it applies to this year and givem a call.

I have been wondering if I should switch to Poly just because it was really convient for me, but I am not going to. Just from what you and everyone on here has said I can see now that DH and DD6 will never want to stay anywhere else again. The pic of CM's out of your door is great dd6 would think she was in heavan, for as much of a princess as she is this is the only place she always ask to go back to. I am so excited I can't wait. The hardest part is that this trip is the furtherest in planning all of my trips last year were planned in 3 mths of less.

Thanks everyone and Have a Magical Day.

Mandy

Both views from the tower are wonderful. I have stayed on both sides and like them both equally. The higher the floor, the better.
