I would like to know if any has any input on the best rooms facing Magic Kingdom (door numbers) to request in the Contemporary Tower starting from the 9th to 11th floor.
We just requested MK view, 9th floor or higher. I was afraid that specifying room numbers would make our request too specific-like if the rooms I wanted are already filled then they'd just stick us anywhere regardless of view.
We stayed CR-Tower last May - I believe it was the 8th floor but don't remember the room number. I do remember that our room was probably about 5 doors down (toward MK) from the elevator bank. Great room with a great view. Not much help I know, but based on the hotel's configuration, I would think any room facing MK would have a great view.
I don't see how one could be any better than the other, really. MK is quite large and close by, so you'll be able to see all there is to see. Request the MK view and enjoy it when you get there!
It is my understanding that all of the odd numbered rooms in the Tower with a MK view are set up so that you can see the castle and MK while sitting in bed. In the even numbered rooms, the beds face in the opposite direction.

I did it just for the view. I've stayed there twice, but not since I was 8yo so I can't say anything about noise (if it was noisy, I would not have noticed!) so we just thought it would have a better view higher up.
