Contemporary to Epcot for rope drop?

Does anyone know the current monorail schedule? If staying at the Contemporary and wanting to go to Epcot by 8:30am, will the resort & Epcot monorail be running? If not, is there a bus available? I'm reading conflicting information on the current monorail schedule. Thanks!

The resort monorail normally starts at 7 AM.

However the monorail system as a whole is fickle enough that each day could be different. Buses will be provided whenever the monorail is out of service. Check at the front desk if you don't hear the monorail rolling above regularly.

Don't simply shoot to be at Epcot by 8:30-8:45. Many other guests will have the same idea and a train (or bus) may be too full to take you and the next one does not make rope drop.

The current planned schedule is:

• Sat, Sun, Mon, & Wed
  • Resort Monorail opens at 7am
  • Epcot Monorail opens at 8am
• Tues, Thurs, & Fri
  • Resort Monorail opens at 8:30am
  • Epcot Monorail opens at 9am

I don't know how long this is expected to remain this way, and it is subject to change at any time with no notice. Service may start later in the event if technical difficulties, or may start earlier at management discretion.
