Contemporary Theme Park View

Hi! I am so excited. I just booked the CR MK view for a long weekend in October. So, my question is, are there any recommendations? Should I request a higher floor? Do the rooms start on the 4th floor or higher than that? The last time I had a MK view room was when DH and I stayed at the GF on our honeymoon in 2000. The view was the castle. It was pretty, but I am looking forward to the whole panoramic view of the MK area - lagoon, resorts, Space Mountain and of course, the castle!

Any tips are greatly appreciated. I haven't been this excited for a Disney trip in a LONG time.

The MK views from the Contemporary look amazing (from the photos posted on this website)! It makes me think about trying the CR out sometime, too!

I had this room for two days last summer. It was so incredible that I didn't even want to leave the room. Even slept in the bed by the balcony so I could see Cinderella's Castle while I was lying down. Didn't fool anyone in my family by picking that bed, my kids were on to me immediately! You will absolutely love it. Have a good time.

The Magic Kingdom view start on the 6th floor and go up to the 11th floor. There are none on the 5th floor because of the Monorail station, the 12th & 14th floors are Club Level which means they are in a different booking category. So the highest floor you can get is thr 11th floor, however my family and I have had the Magic Kingdom view on the 6th floor and we did not see any difference compared to the other floors.

We had a great view from the 8th floor in December with the castle lights and it was wonderful. We were in a room that was about 3rd from the end closest to the park and our beds faced the park, too, so we slept with the curtains open. I know the christmas lights stayed on until probably 4am, great nightlight.

We were on the 11th floor and it was fantastic!! The view of the MK and the resorts was awesome.
