Contemporary September 2021

Hi! Does anyone happen to know what is going on with the Contemporary Resort for next September? Looks like only garden view rooms are available. I highly doubt it's completely booked. I know they were going to refurbish the rooms this past fall. I doubt that has happened but wouldn't you think they'd do that while the resort isn't full?

Any Intel would be greatly appreciated!

Depends on what dates you're checking in Sept. The end of the month? Absolutely is booked up, it's the 50th anniversary on 10/1 and lots of people are starting their trips before that weekend. Others (like me) booked weekend trips starting the 30th.

Also availability can change sometimes depending on the number of nights you pick, Disney's algorithm is weird.

Yeah, I was poking around last night at CR dates from August through the fall. Barely anything, just occasionally the GW. I get the 50th dates, but not all fall. I figured it may be a website fluke or they’re tweaking something behind the scenes, but it definitely seems weird.

I was wondering the same thing. Checked end of May through first week of June and there is no availability.

I just read on another page the main tower rooms are being refurbished April-September. It said shops and restaurants will still be open.

And I should add people are reportedly being called that already had reservations and being moved to GF.

Thanks for that info. I hope Disney releases more info about it soon. It would be great to get to stay in a newly refurbished room. Maybe I should push our trip back again.

I bet they are trying to spruce up the contemporary and the poly before the 50th.

I feel your pain! Last year I was moved TO the CR. This year it looks like I will be moved OUT of CR.

Have a Garden Wing booked for Sept 11-18 2021. Booked in July - moved the same dates from 2020 to 2021. Originally had WL for Sept 2020 but wasn’t available at that time for booking so went with CR GW. Will be watching this closely though since refurb in tower don’t think it will effect me .
