Contemporary ressie say "Variable" view??

I was just mailed my confirmation for an upcoming stay in the Contemporary (wing room).

I thought I had booked a "garden" view. I am positive it was the more expensive of the two view choices (I think the other, less expensive choice was "standard.")

Now I have my confirmation and it lists the room type as Wing - Variable.

Any idea what this means?

The variable room is Garden/lake view. It is the higher price of the standard wing. So your view will either be of the courtyard gardens or of bay lake.
