This is sort of a random question to ask, but indulge me as my memory ain't what it used to be.

Bottom line: when I was (a lot) younger, my family stayed at the Contemporary a couple of times and one of my favorite memories was taking a launch over to some place that had a sort of country grocery store a short walk up from the dock. It was sort of a grocery/gift shop, with a lot of treats and gourmet foods along with basic groceries. I remember picking up things like cheeses, smoked salmon, Mickey-branded juices and candies, etc. This was the late 80s/early 90s.

Does this ring a bell for anybody? I thought it was at the Wilderness Lodge, but I don't see anything familiar on the current map.

Head over to allearsnet.com.

Choose the heading of Accommodations and go down to the moderate resorts for Fort Wilderness.

If you click on the pictures, you will scroll down to the Meadow Trading Post and the Settlement Trading Post. There are both interior and exterior photos.

I dare say that is what you are thinking about, but the pics may jog your memory.

That's it! One of the Trading Posts. I was operating under the mistaken impression that I had never set foot in the Ft. Wilderness campground.

Many thanks!

This might have been Fort Wilderness. There is a boat that travels between the CR, the WL and FW.
