Which do you think is better...Contemporary MK View or Bay View? We have booked a Bay View Tower and LOVED the view last time we went. We preferred it being away from the parking lot, seeing the electric light boat parade from the balcony, and the gorgeous view of the lake (not cars). But with the construction going on I'm wondering if the MK View might be better. Anyone been to CR lately with construction? How's my precious Bay View going to be?

It will still be fine - the construction work quits aroun 5pm every night. besides the KT building is places so it won't be in the way of the CR.

I like the bay lake side best too!!!

but mother only wanted the MK side.... that say I do love WISHES - so for it might go with mk side.

SO GLAD SOMEONE AGREES! I feel like I get the better view for cheaper (not cheap)! We'll see Wishes at the park. Thanks! By the way, I noted you are a DVCer. What's your favorite? Looking into rent points later this year.

my favorite DVC resort - gee love them all!

right now possible the AKV - because DVC went overboard here. It is possible the best designed villa so far.

hopping for better with KT@ CR.

for MK - right now VWL

epcot & studio - BWV or BCV

DTD - SSR or OKW - they both have a pretty good bus system - so the parks aren't impossible with either of them.

AKV - now I do love this place but so far have gotten the worst bus service at any of the WDW resorts. Guess it only wants me to stay there and appreciate it!

for the food/wine festavial - OKW buses are excellent!!!!

oh you aren't alone at all - there are several of us who prefer the bay lake side that post here.

we are always outvoted by the MK side lovers - but hey different things for different folks!

have seen photos of the bay side and yes, it's quite lovely - all that water, sky, green trees and the pool - very very peaceful to look out at

we've been lucky to have had the castle view a few times and myself, that's heaven: to look out at the view, to hear the sounds, to watch wishes from the balcony - yes, there's the entire parking lot you get to see, too....

but i can see how either view has it's true beauty!

You can't go wrong with either view because both are very special in their own way. Obviously the Bay Lake view is less expensive then the Magic Kingdom view, so not sure how much a consideration that is for you. With the Magic Kingdom view you can still see the EWP when it goes threw 7 Seas Lagoon. As for looking at the parking lot I always say when you look outside at the view you don't even notice it because you will be looking at the Magic Kingdom, Grand Floridian, Polynesian and seeing Monorail go by along the tracks.

When I last stayed at CR we had an MK-view room and it was all I could do to drag my kids off the balcony to get 'em to go anywhere. Needless to say I don't consider that a lesser option.

I've heard there was noise with monorail more on the MK side...true or false? I heard all noise on either side is better higher up. Can I request I higher up room? I just remember hearing some noise from Chef Mickey's during the day, but we aren't ones to nap!:lmao: Just poor ol' grandma will have to deal with whatever!:rotfl:

A few years ago my family and I had a Magic Kingdom view on the 6th floor which was right over the Monorail station (there are no 5th floor Magic Kingdom views) and we did not hear any noise from the Monorail while we were in our room.
