Contemporary Lake View or Bay Lake Tower Theme Park View?

Thanks!! Yes. I am going to keep trying. I'm hoping maybe in a few months if they release discounts, or even just the Christmas party dates, that the room may be a 3 night option again.

Me and my (will be) 6 year old. Why do you prefer BLT? I'm curious to read people's opinions. To me it seems inconvenient to not be in the tower, and maybe not as exciting for a child.. that is what I'm having a hard time with. Is the view worth not being in the building you want with the advantages that go along with it.

Thanks for replying :)
I'm driving myself crazy over this and afraid it may sell out
I really love the look and feel of it. It makes me feel at home. Its quiet and the view is wonderful. Just a personal opinion. Its also pretty easy to get to the contemporary from there. I don't think you lose anything by not being in the main building. I do understand the draw of staying in the main building but I think its slightly overrated (again, my opinion).

We love theme park views because of my son. At two years old he names the monorail colors as they pass by, he loves the fireworks and always asks for more. Though to be fair we spend more time in the room than most people on vacation. Only 4 park days in a 7 day visit. For your situation I would likely choose the Contemporary Lake View unless you just have the cash difference to use.

Great photo!
Me son also loves the monorails.. I had to ship a toy one home while on our last trip.lol
Since this trip is only 3 nights we won't be taking a resort day again..but I do plan on coming back to room early one night. After a 7 night, 4 port, excursion full cruise, I don't think I can run him from 7am-midnight at Disney again. I really am keeping my fingers crossed that the TPV tower becomes available. I think walking out of the room and seeing the monorail will be exciting for him..I just don't want the lake view!! :(. That being said, I've chosen not to book the BLT tpv studio room bc of the size. So I'll just wait and hope.... I've debated staying one more night, I just think that's too long out of school.
We were gone 15 days in September and the make up work he received was CRAZY (and this was Kindergarten!) between that and football 3 days per week the next two weeks were miserable.

Which one would you choose and why?
(No availability in Tower tpv)

We stayed 10 nights last year in Bay Lake Tower 1 bedroom Theme Park View and had room #8220. It was AMAZING! The View was a once in a lifetime view. You could feel the fireworks going off and watch them from the comfort of the room. Lots of room and having the washer and dryer in the room made it really nice.

Thanks. Yes we have multiple monorail items as well, and another one coming from the Easter Bunny this year! I agree, a 7 day cruise is excellent but you are right about it being tiring if it is excursion based. Sounds like you made a great choice!

The whole reason for a cruise this year was because in September, although it was fun, I tried to pack every single thing you can do/eat at disneyworld into 9 days. I had to calm down because after day 4 I could tell he was melting down. We were supposed to go to Lego Land before heading to Key West for a week.. But I scratched Legoland from the itinerary- neither of us could have handled one more park day!!
So I thought a cruise would be more relaxing.. It's not looking like it is going to be though..lol
