Contemporary Garden Wing Room

GW is our favorite. Stayed at CR 5 times and 4 in GW. Rooms are just like tower but so much quieter and don’t have to worry about huge elevator back ups. When you didn’t have to pay for parking we liked that you could park right there.

Never had issues with ceiling, DH is over 6ft.

I only wished they had non suite club level access rooms in GW. It’s only me and DH so we don’t really need all that space.

Does anyone have advice on a room location we should request? We have two young kids and have a Garden view room. Is there a preferred location in this room type or would any room do? Thanks

We've done the tower, garden wing, WL main building bunk beds, and a little Copper Creek studio.

Honestly? They're all wonderful in their own way. If you don't mind putting the stroller on one of the little boats, you can hop from the WL to the CR in under 5 minutes and then walk to the MK.

We tend to do CR when I'm with my wife because she has motion sickness and values the walk. If I had to recommend, I'd say stick to Garden Wing. Ask for a room at the end so you can watch the water pageant. Take a short jaunt or two to the WL to enjoy their quick service. Compared to going all the way up to the food in the Contemporary tower, a quick ride to Roaring Fork is (maybe) five minutes longer.

We were stuck in the WL during the hurricane last year. Couldn't have picked a better building to have cabin fever in. The lobby is incredible. I will forever be grateful for the little work desks up over the entrance.

I would request ground floor for the possibility of a patio. Otherwise you can request overlooking Bay Lake for the view or close to the main building for the convenience or easy access to the pool, if any of these matter to you.

LOVE the CR, garden and tower rooms are all good! GREAT resort! You will love the walk to the MK and easy access wherever you are headed.
